WHO WE ARE

As a NGO officially established and approved by the Israeli government in Israel in 2017, NGO OFJ (Overflowing Jerusalem) helps and assists Jewish friends and people in need - the poor and the disabled and orphans, widows and the minors of the Israeli society. Also, NGO OFJ tries its best efforts to mobilize and dispatch Korean and overseas volunteers to Israeli institutions.

Additionally, NGO OFJ has been collaborating with Israeli Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Affairs (MLWS) since 2022. As one of MLWS's partner organizaions, NGO OFJ has endeavored to mobilize and dispatch Korean volunteers into social welfare facilities in Israel so as to wholeheartedly serve Jewish people with disabilities and speical needs.

NGO OFJ does support and stand with Israel. NGO OFJ believes that more people in the world must support and stand with Israel. NGO OFJ does make its utmost efforts to raise the awareness of how significant Israel herself is and how inevitable Ruth the Moabite served Naomi the profound-disaster-stricken. NGO OFJ fervently desires to comfort Israel and shower Israel with tremendous amounts of blessings through good works as the good vessels of G-d of Israel and all the nations.
"Our Story"
OVERFLOWING JERUSALEM (NGO _OFJ) is a pro-Israeli non-governmental organization (NGO) established in 2017 by the Shin family who truly and genuinely loves the State of Israel and the people of Israel and wants to support Israel and would love to stand with Israel.
Having been residing in Jerusalem since 2014, the Shin family desperately feels bad and sorry for the people of Israel aching with almost-daily dire terrorism, globally-spreading anti-semitism & BDS movements, and even political attempts to wipe Israel off the map and to divide the Holy land of Israel into two pieces internationally. Not only that, but also the poverty rate of Israel is very high and the gap between the rich and the poor is unthinkably huge. Many Jewish children and friends are exposed to lack of food day by day. Furthermore, Jewish people with disabilities accounted for 24% of the population in Israel. Those Jewish people with disabilities desperately need help from other people.
Owing to facing this unbelievable reality in Israel, the Shin family did decide to do something helpful, meaningful and significant for the sake of Israel by providing proper and pertinent help and aid.
In 2017, the Shin family initiated NGO OFJ by dedicating to comforting and helping Jewish friends in need and the state of Israel throughout Israel, so that Jewish friends could feel the Shin family's love-filled and heartfelt support for them.
Although NGO OFJ was initiated by the Shin family, NGO OFJ is purposed to welcome and be open to all people who do love Israel and want to support the State of Israel and Jewish people. The Korean people from South Korea and people from all nations in the world can get involved in all the good work and activities of NGO OFJ for the sake of Israel.
NGO OFJ has been so far privileged to help widows, orphans, impoverished families and Jewish friends with special needs (the poor and the disabled) as well as minors in the state of Israel and in this Holy land. Also NGO OFJ shows respect and honor to those devoted to study the Torah by supporting them. Additionally, NGO OFJ supports Aliyah financially, and does diverse mercy-giving projects, a variety of good works and Korean traditional events at Israeli institutions in Israel.
